| Equality of Men and Women
Quran:
Sūrah 3:195
"Their Lord responded to them: "I never fail to reward any
worker among you for any work you do, be you male or female, you are equal
to one another..... "
Sūrah 4:1
"O mankind! Be conscious of your Sustainer, who has created you out
of one living entity (nafs), and out of it created its mate, and out of
the two spread abroad a multitude of men and women. And remain conscious
of God, in whose name you demand your rights from one another, and of
these ties of kinship. Verily, God is ever watchful over you!
Sūrah 4:124:
"As for those who lead a righteous life, male or female, while
believing, they enter Paradise; without the slightest injustice"
Sūrah 16:97:
"Anyone who works righteousness, male or female, while believing, we
will surely grant them a happy life in this world, and we will surely pay
them their full recompense for their righteous works."
Sūrah 24.26.
Bad women are for bad men and bad men are for bad women. Good women are
for good men and good men are for good women.
Sūrah 30.35.
Surely the men who submit and the women who submit, and the believing men
and the believing women, and the obeying men and the obeying women, and
the truthful men and the truthful women, and the patient men and the
patient women and the humble men and the humble women, and the almsgiving
men and the almsgiving women, and the fasting men and the fasting women,
and the men who guard their private parts and the women who guard, and the
men who remember Allah much and the women who remember-- Allah has
prepared for them forgiveness and a mighty reward.
Sūrah 30.58.
And those who speak evil things of the believing men and the believing
women without their having earned (it), they are guilty indeed of a false
accusation and a manifest sin.
Sūrah 30.73.
So Allah will chastise the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women and
the polytheistic men and the polytheistic women, and Allah will turn
(mercifully) to the believing women, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Sūrah 40:40
Whoever commits a sin is requited for just that, and whoever works
righteousness - male or female, - while believing, these will enter
Paradise wherein they receive provisions without any limits.
Sūrah 47.19.
So know that there is no god but Allah, and, ask protection for your fault
and for the believing men and the believing women; and Allah knows the
place of your returning and the place of your abiding.
Sūrah 48.5.
That He may cause the believing men and the believing women to enter
gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide therein and remove from them
their evil; and that is a grand achievement with Allah
Sūrah 48.6.
And (that) He may punish the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women,
and the polytheistic men and the polytheistic women, the entertainers of
evil thoughts about Allah. On them is the evil turn, and Allah is wroth
with them and has cursed them and prepared hell for them, and evil is the
resort.
