Attitude Adjustment

Attitude is your perception of and beliefs about events, situations and people.

A negative attitude can increase stress and negatively impact your physical and
emotional well-being.

Changing your perception and reactions to stress-causing events and people in
your life will positively impact your health and well-being.

Suggestions:

  • Make a list of all the people & things in your life for which you are grateful.

  • Make a list of why you are grateful.

  • Identify ways in which you can acknowledge and show your gratitude.

  • Increase your awareness of and gratitude for abilities and common events
that are often taken for granted. (even something as simple as breathing)

Think of all the
People that you know or have known.
Possessions that you have or have had.
Events that you have experienced.
Opportunities for personal growth and development.

Develop An Attitude of Gratitude Through your Senses:

Vision:
Observe the intricacies of Nature.
Look at the sunrises and sunsets.
The faces of individuals.
The colors of flowers and trees.
The architecture of buildings.

Hearing:
Play your favorite music.
Listen to the chirping of birds.
The rustling of leaves.
The laughter of children.

Tactile:
Touch Nature... flowers, leaves, trees.
Feel the breeze, enjoy the rain.
Feel your breath as you inhale and exhale.
Feel the ground on which you are standing.
Feel your body as it moves.

Smell:
Fragrance of flowers, foods.

Taste:
Enjoy your favorite foods.
Taste the raindrops.

Focus on the positive in life and Life responds by becoming positive.

And there is nothing like gratitude to make your life positive.
