Qurān
Sūrah al An' am 6. 151:
"Do not take any human being's life (the life) which God has
declared to be sacred -- otherwise than in (the pursuit of) justice: this
has He enjoined upon you so that you might use your reason."
Sūrah al Ma'idah 5. 32:
"We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone slew a person
unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land it would be
as if he slew the whole people: And if anyone saved a life, it would be as
if he saved the life of the whole people."
