Depression and Loss of Sex Drive

About 75% of patients report loss of sex drive during depression.  Of the other 25%, most report no change in libido, and some experience unusually intense sex drive. But typically, people who are depressed lose their libido.  Once depression clears up, the sex drive usually returns to normal.

Many antidepressant medications aggravate this problem and patients report a problem with any one of the following problems:
decreased libido, erection impairment, ejaculation impairment and orgasm loss or delay (men and women)

If you believe that your medication is causing sex problems, don't suffer in silence. Call your doctor and discuss this issue.

Take these tests:
Sexual Dysfunction Screen - Males
Sexual Dysfunction Screen - Females
Sexual Impotence Screen
